Varicent Edge Scholarship

The E.D.G.E. Scholarship Program was established to increase opportunities for equity, diversity, growth, and empowerment in the technology sector for historically underrepresented individuals, primarily women and peoples of color, focusing on Latinx and Black communities.

The E.D.G.E. The E.D.G.E. Scholarship Program is one investment under our corporate social responsibility banner. We are determined to use science and technology to solve some of the world’s most pressing problems and bring about meaningful and diverse changes within the workforce.

Varicent will offer up to 15 scholarships worth $5,000 to current or former high school students or undergraduates in Canada and the United States who are planning to major in S.T.E.M.

Benefits Of Varicent EDGE Scholarship

Selection criteria for scholarship recipients include:

  • Academic record
  • Demonstrates leadership qualities and active participation in school- and community activities
  • Work experience
  • Statement of goals and aspirations
  • Unusual family or personal circumstances

You will be awarded a $5,000 prize if you are selected to receive it. The awards are renewable for up to three years or until the recipient earns a bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility

  • High school seniors/students in the final year of their upper secondary school, graduates, or current college students (including CEGEP students) located in the U.S.A. or Canada.
  • It would be best if you planned to major in S.T.E.M. or technology-related fields, including but not limited: Computer Science, Data Science Engineering, Information Technology, and Mathematics.
  • For the entire academic year, plan to enroll full-time undergraduate studies at an accredited college, CEGEP, university, or vocational-technical high school or equivalent.

Application Procedure

Complete and current transcript of grades. Grade reports will not be accepted. Transcripts must include each course’s student name, school name, and credit hours.
