This scholarship is for students who want to explore and study Chinese Culture and Environment. It is fully funded and available for Masters (MS/M.Phil) and Master’s (MS/M.Phil) studies. Below are the details of the financial support:

Schwarzman program will pay all expenses for your study in China:

Eligibility Criteria for Schwarzmann scholarship

  • Required Languages: English
  • Eligible Countries: All World Countries
  • A first or undergraduate degree from an accredited college, university, or equivalent institution.
  • Students enrolled in undergraduate programs must be able to complete all requirements by August 1 of the Schwarzman Scholars enrollment. There is no requirement to study in a particular field; applicants from all disciplines are welcome. However, it is essential that applicants clearly articulate how Schwarzman Scholars will benefit their leadership potential.
  • Age Requirement
  • Candidates must be 18 years old but not yet 29 as of August 1, their Schwarzman Scholars enrollment Year.
  • English language proficiency.
  • All teaching in English will require applicants to have strong English language skills. Official English proficiency scores must be submitted with any application if the applicant is not fluent in English. Acceptable tests include:
  • TOEFL PBT Test of English as Foreign Language Minimum score 600
  • Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT). Minimum score: 100
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Minimum score 7.

This requirement is waived if applicants graduate from an undergraduate institution where English was the primary language of instruction for at least two of their academic programs. This requirement is waived for applicants who studied English for at least two years in a Master’s program.

Required Documents For Schwartzman Scholarship

  • Your current resume/CV (maximum two pages)
  • Two essays are required: a Leadership essay (750 words) or a Statement of Purpose (500).
  • Official transcripts from each institution that confers a degree must be scanned and uploaded.
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • One minute of video self-introduction.

How to Apply

  • The online application must be completed in English.
  • They must create an account to start a new application through the official online portal. All correspondence regarding your admission status will be sent to the email address you provided when creating your account.
  • All requests must be submitted electronically, as email is not accepted.
  • The applicant can submit their application in multiple sittings. This will allow them to work as often as they need before submitting their application.
