IWU application and Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships are open for 2023/2024. Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships is a fully-funded award to exceptional international students who wish to complete their Bachelor’s degree in the 2023/2024 academic year.

Illinois Wesleyan awards the Illinois Wesleyan University President’s Scholarships and other financial aid based on a need for international students in each year’s class. Students who aren’t U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents are considered international students.

IWU Application Requirement

Every IWU school or college (College of Arts and Sciences, College of Fine Arts, School of Nursing) examines various strengths and capabilities in evaluating the qualifications of applicants. But it is recommended anyone that wants IWU application possess the following:

  • Fifteen (15) academic units in English foreign language math, laboratory science, and social science.
  • A cumulative grade-point score of B or better.
  • This a well-written essay.
  • Students’ activities at their school as well as within their communities.
  • TOEFL score for students from abroad.

Illinois Wesleyan is test optional. If you’ve already taken tests such as the SAT and ACT and want to send in your scores, it is possible to submit them.

Students from other countries whose primary or primary language isn’t English are required to take the TOEFL exam or IELTS.

International students whose first or native language is not English are still required to submit either the TOEFL or IELTS.

The School of Nursing expects maximum training in mathematical and laboratory sciences. Students who plan to pursue a nursing major should either submit their ACT/SAT scores or attend an interview at The School of Nursing.

Admission to the Schools for the Arts, Music, and Theatre Arts depends on auditions or interviews. In addition, the School of Art strongly encourages portfolio reviews. Auditions and portfolio reviews can be scheduled in the semester by calling an Admissions Office at 1-800-332-2498 or 1-09-556-3031.

How To Apply For Illinois Wesleyan University

Students who are interested in applying to Illinois Wesleyan University must submit the following:

  • As previously mentioned, international students whose primary or native language is not English must take an English Proficiency Exam requirement.Students who want to report their test scores are encouraged to submit their scores. The Illinois Wesleyan University code for College Board (SAT) is 1320, and our code for the ACT is 1044. ACT is 1044.

Top Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarship

IWU application and Illinois Wesleyan University Scholarships are open for 2023/2024.

Illinois Wesleyan can provide merit scholarships and other financial assistance to students from abroad. Students who aren’t U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents are considered international.

1. Merit-Based Scholarships

These awards are given to international applicants who have outstanding academic achievements and scores in the entrance tests required.

The awards range between $16,000 and $30,000 annually and can be renewed for four years. Students who fill out the admissions form are automatically eligible as candidates for scholarship opportunities.

2. President’s Scholarships

Two full-tuition scholarships are granted yearly to highly-qualified students in their first year of international study based on their abilities, interests and academic accomplishments.

Additional Financial Aid Opportunities

International students can complete their CSS PROFILE to be considered for financial aid from IWU. The PROFILE contains a thorough analysis of the applicant’s financial capabilities.

In addition to merit scholarships, international students may be eligible for IWU-funded scholarships, loans, and campus-employment opportunities for additional financial support, renewable for up to four years. The preferred filing date for CSS PROFILE is March 1st.
