Additionally, the foundation has given out numerous scholarships and grants during the year’s fiscal year. Rotary Scholarship is worth more than 7.5 million dollars annually to train leaders for the future and help them achieve their philanthropic goals.

Rotary Foundation Foundation Global Scholarship Grants for Development

The Rotary Foundation provides scholarship funds via its Rotary Foundation Global Grants. The grants support graduate-level courses or research that lasts for one to four academic years.

Host Institution(s): Any approved University in a nation with a host Rotary club or district not located in the applicant’s country of residence.

Level/Field(s) of Study: Graduate-level coursework or research in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.

Scholarship value/inclusions: The minimal budget of a global grant is $30,000 that can be used to fund the following items: Passport/visa inoculations, travel expenses (as stipulated in the grant’s conditions and terms), and school supplies. Tuition, room and board, Household items, and language training classes (but not if university acceptance is contingent upon improvement in proficiency in a language). A majority of the personal and miscellaneous costs can be are not covered through the grant funding.

Instructions for application:

Potential applicants are invited to reach out to the local Rotary clubs through their Rotary Club Locator tool to find out how they can be sponsored to receive the grant.

The Global Grant applications can be made online. The clubs or districts that sponsor the grant prepare the initial application, and the scholar fills out the profile online.

Global grant scholarships will be considered on a continuous calendar throughout the year. However, applications must be made at least three months before the date of departure so that there is enough time to allow for Foundation evaluation and process. *Each Rotary District/Club could have its unique timetable.

What is a Global Grant? Global Grants are available to students and professionals studying abroad in one of the six main areas of interest that include that peace promotion. Ensuring sanitation, clean water, and hygiene, helping mothers and children fight illness, expanding local economies, and promoting education. Districts and clubs enhance the global partnership by working in tandem to serve the needs of the community.

Rotary Foundation International Grants can be used to fund:

  • Humanitarian aid projects
  • Graduate-level scholarships for academic studies
  • Vocational training teams are professional groups that travel to other countries to instruct local professionals in their field or to study more about it.

A global grant program has an initial budget of 30,000 USD and a maximal World Fund Award of 400,000 USD. Sometimes, these are also supported by directed gifts or the endowed earnings.

Eligibility Criteria

The requirements for Rotary Foundation Global Grants are simple and specific and are determined by the applications.

The project of the eligible applicant:

  • Long-term and long-lasting impact on society
  • Affect an area that is essential and has been identified as a priority by the local community.

  • Candidates must submit evidence of their admission to an academic program at the graduate level of a university or an invitation letter to begin conducting postgraduate research when they submit their applications.
  • The applicant must be planning to pursue education in a foreign country.

Requests for travel arrangements for vocational training groups, scholars, and volunteer travelers have to be received 90 days before the date of travel.

Selection Process

The Rotary Foundation Global Grants have their select committee.

  • Grant decisions are made based on the completed application forms and the interview sessions that follow those who have been shortlisted.
  • Interviews may be held in person or through live video conferences. The committee will provide the details before the beginning of this process. The time and date will also be confirmed at that time.

Rotary Foundation Graduate Programme for Study in the USA

The Rotary Foundation is pleased to announce that they have accepted applications to The Rotary Foundation Graduate Program. This award aims to assist the student in realizing his goal of becoming a good student and acquiring the knowledge needed for his professional development.

Rotary Scholarship is valued at $30,000. Rotary Scholarship is worth $30,000.

Conditions for Eligibility

  • The applicants must be international students.
  • The applicants must be enrolled in an institution located in the USA.
  • The Scholarship will be awarded in Peace and Conflict Resolution/Prevention or the area of Economic and Community Development.
  • The applicant must meet the minimum English standards for students whose first language isn’t English.

Rotary Foundation Scholarships for Master’s Degrees

The award is intended to enable students to attain Water and Sanitation Profession, to foster long-lasting, productive relations with Rotarians with highly-skilled professionals of water sanitation within their communities.

Affects and Benefits from the Rotary Scholarship

Successful Rotary students will receive sponsorship from Rotarians in their countries of origin and have the opportunity to connect with Rotarians in the Netherlands. Conditions for Eligibility

Students who qualify to be eligible for the Rotary Scholarship are required to be admitted to at least one-degree course at the UNESCO-IHE (Joint programs aren’t qualified).

The programs that are eligible include:

  • M.Sc. for Urban Water and Sanitation
  • Masters in Water Management
  • Master’s degree with a focus on Water Science and Engineering.
  • Rotary Foundation Scholarships at Birmingham University

The Scholarship is available for undergraduate and postgraduate study in the fields that include Arts and Law, Engineering and Physical Sciences, Medical and Dental Sciences, and Social Sciences.

What is the Benefit of the Scholarship

The award covers up to four academic years, dependent on the program at the university that the recipient is offered.

The Eligibility Criteria

The scholarships are available to all students in any country, except Rotary Members and their family members. The applicant must reside in the Rotary Club’s region.

Grants are offered to students who are studying abroad for graduate studies for any of the causes that are part of the Rotary Club, specifically

  • Promoting peace
  • Fighting off diseases
  • Clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Rotary Foundation Grants

District Grants

District grants are used to fund small-scale projects that meet the needs of communities in the world. The districts select the projects to be funded.

The District Grants Support

Rotary District 1145 Sports, GRANTS FOR MATCHING SPORTS

Any Rotary Club in District 1145 who wishes to help a young athlete or sports team in the local area is invited to apply for an award up to PS250.

The Eligibility Criteria

  • Grants are granted to disabled and non-disabled youngsters and groups.
  • The applicant must be 18 or younger to be considered eligible.
  • Grants should only be used to pay for specific equipment or kits and not for ongoing travel or training expenses.
  • People who are in support of this District 1145 Sports event will be the first to be considered.
