The looming gothic architecture structures cover the campus and gargoyles on a few of the buildings’ facades that is a great benefit. While it is located in a big city, however, the University of Chicago can also possess a peaceful, secluded atmosphere in certain areas of campus, which adds to the Hogwarts campus atmosphere. The school also has housing located on campus, which resemble the ones of Hogwarts. Like the houses home to Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin, Each of the residential communities at UChicago is distinct and has its customs, be it regular movie evenings or Broomball.

Bryn Mawr College
Just outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bryn Mawr College is home to various beautiful castle-like structures within its grounds. Visit the historic campus, and you’ll find fireplaces, stained glass, and other exquisite details that remind you of Hogwarts. It’s interesting to note that the school’s emblem is an owl. However, there’s no owl-themed school similar to Hogwarts. Particularly, Bryn Mawr’s students Bryn Mawr seem to have accepted their school’s resemblance to the wizarding school. Bryn Mawr has been home to a quidditch team for more than 10 years and has even had a Harry Potter-themed “Hogwarts Dinner” in the Thomas Great Hall, which closely resembles the dining room in which Harry, Hermione, and Ron enjoyed pumpkin juice and consumed Yorkshire pudding.

Cornell University, located in Ithaca, New York, has the same Gothic-inspired architecture found in the other historical universities of the U.S. Cornell’s Risley Residential College is so like the famous wizard school that they host Hogwarts-themed events in the college. To get a bit of Hogwarts appeal, check out The Law Library; in addition to its vaulted ceilings and cathedral-like windows, the hanging chandeliers will immediately recall the floating candles of Hogwarts. Likewise, the long passageways that Cornell’s War Memorial is adorned featuring arched windows and intricate stone designs appear like the halls that Hogwarts students walked to and from classes and dormitories.
The campus is situated on the crest of a hill that overlooks the lake, much like Hogwarts (though you shouldn’t expect any mermaids residing there). Cornell students wear red scarves for the well-known and lively athletic events, just like the Quidditch games.
